Who we are and why we exist

AllSalons is an independent salon and spa discovery platform. Our purpose is to help you find reputable, well-matched beauty providers based on verifiable facts rather than guesswork — and to give salon owners a fair, clearly-labeled way to be found.

How listings get into the directory

• Staff research: our team curates and reviews listings, recording the source behind every factual claim.
• Automated discovery: when you search an area, we also look for real businesses in public sources (Google Places and web search). Businesses that pass our data bar are added automatically and clearly tagged 'Newly added' — they are not staff-verified until they are claimed and reviewed.
• Every automatically added listing carries an internal evidence record of where its information came from.
• Business owners can claim their listing free of charge to correct information and take control of their profile, and can ask us to correct or remove inaccurate data.

How ranking works

Search results are ranked by relevance to what you searched for first — a search for a specific business surfaces that business above generic category matches. Beyond relevance: staff-curated listings rank above automatically discovered ones, sponsored placements (always labeled) appear at the top when purchased, then rating, then distance. Reviews

Every review carries a verification level — verified service, evidence-supported, or unverified experience — so you can weigh it appropriately. Reviews are moderated under our published Review Guidelines, businesses can respond publicly, and our moderation standards are never influenced by whether a business pays us.

Badges

• License verified: our staff confirmed the business's applicable license through a documented verification workflow.
• Claimed: the business's ownership or management was verified through our claim process.
• Sponsored: the business purchased a 30-day paid placement. It says nothing about quality — only that they paid to be seen.

How we make money

• Claiming and managing a salon profile is free, permanently.
• Optional paid products, clearly labeled at purchase and in search results: a 30-Day Sponsored Placement ($99, one-time) and a Premium Profile ($29.99/month).
• No paid product changes reviews, badges, moderation or organic ranking. Refunds are governed by our published Refund Policy.

Where we use AI

• Consumer Concierge: explains why salons match your stated needs.
• Business and staff copilots: read-only assistants over each user's own data.
• Listing discovery: automated searches of public sources, always tagged and evidence-recorded.
• Editorial: content is produced with risk-tiered automation; high-risk topics require qualified human review, and published items carry a correction history.

Honest limitations

• We are a young platform: coverage is growing daily across the U.S., but some areas are thin, and many listings have few or no reviews yet.
• Automatically discovered data can be stale; we run nightly data-quality checks and let owners correct their own records.

Corrections and contact

Found something wrong? Business owners can correct it by claiming their listing; anyone can flag inaccurate information through our support channel. We publish corrections on affected editorial items rather than silently editing them.
